My Journey

My career began in the trenches of bare-metal infrastructure, racking servers and terminating fiber in dial-up ISP datacenters. That foundational work evolved into deep Unix/Linux systems administration, where I spent years honing precision troubleshooting across complex compute, networking, and enterprise storage arrays—including EMC, NetApp, Isilon, and HP 3PAR.

The shift to cloud computing in 2016 marked a pivotal evolution. Stepping into Site Reliability Engineering during a full-scale enterprise migration to AWS, I leveraged my deep systems background to build automated, highly resilient cloud architectures.

Today, that decades-long foundation gives me a unique edge in the AI era. Knowing how systems actually operate at the metal allows me to write highly precise prompt engineering workflows and instantly filter out “AI slop”—separating superficial LLM generated code from robust, battle-tested, production-grade architecture.
